H. C. Chambers & Son Ltd first started in 1877

Based in Sudbury with routes that serve Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Clare and Colchester.

In 2018, we doubled the frequency between Sudbury and Colchester via Bures and introduced new ticket offers to encourage modal shift.

In 2019, newer buses were acquired which included cleaner engines and more seats than the buses they replaced.

We have continued to invest in technology, upgrading all our  buses to accept contactless payments and the introduction of our Boomerang fare zone in the same year brought with Wifi onto many of our buses.

In 2021, we launched our new Hedingham and Chambers app, bringing the two networks together in the south and providing customers with a safe way to pay for their tickets.

.All buses are low floor and easy access - and we have spaces available for wheelchair users.
