Timetable changes – 28th March 2022

From Monday 28th March 2022 there will be some evening timetable changes as a result of local authority tender results. There will also be changes to certain route 88 and 89 journeys with reinstated journeys and altered journeys to improve punctuality. Please see summary below. New timetables are now available, just click the links below and forward the date on beyond 27/3/22. 

Braintree and Halstead area

Route 352

This will be operated by First Essex and will be renumbered 42B. The last journey from Chelmsford Bus Station will be retimed to depart at 2253.

Route 88

On Mondays to Fridays
 the 1008 journey from Halstead Conies Road will now continue beyond Halstead High Street to Colchester.  The 1104 journey from Colchester High Street to Halstead Conies Road will be reinstated.
On Saturdays the current temporary timetable will remain unchanged.  

Route 89

On Mondays to Fridays the 0648 journey from Great Yeldham to Braintree will run 5 minutes earlier than now.  The 0742 journey from Braintree Rail Station will be revised to start from Braintree Interchange at 0733, stopping at the Rail Station at 0736.  This journey will then run from Bocking 12 minutes earlier than present.
The existing 1737 journey from Braintree Rail Station will leave Braintree Interchange at 1747, stopping at the Rail Station at 0750.  This journey will then run from Bocking 6 minutes later than present.
On Saturdays some morning journeys have been reinstated and buses will run once again run hourly until early afternoon.


Clacton area

Route 97


The 1900 from Clacton Pier Avenue will operate 12 minutes earlier at 1848. This will better connect with the train arriving at Clacton Rail Station at 1848 from London.

Route 98

The 1915 from Holland on Sea to Clacton will operate 16 minutes earlier at 1859. The 1816 and 1846 journeys from Walton on the Naze to Clacton will be withdrawn due to low demand, these are not ECC contracted journeys.

Route 98A

The 2030 from Clacton Pier Avenue will operate 15 minutes earlier at 2015 (2017 from Clacton Rail Station). This will better connect with the train arriving at Clacton Rail Station at 2011 from London.
As a result the 2110 from Walton on the Naze will operate 15 minutes earlier at 2055.

Route 99

The 1950 from Walton on the Naze will operate 15 minutes earlier at 1935.
