Which ticket do I need for my journey?

Across the services, there is a great range of ticket types to suit everyone! There are single ( the popular £2 scheme) and day tickets for same-day travel, family tickets which offer a discount when travelling with family or friends, and bundle/capped and term tickets for those travelling frequently for work or school. Students, 5-19 year olds and those carrying a Concessionary Travel Scheme Bus Pass will find affordable ticket offers too. Don’t forget Children under 5 years old travel for free!

Tickets for services across Suffolk and Essex

With so many options available it can get confusing working out which ticket to get. Read on to see which ticket best fits your journey.

Anywhere 

For flexible travel on routes across our Hedingham & Chambers network, the Anywhere, Anytime ticket offers more freedom to get where you want to go.

Travel across the whole of our Hedingham & Chambers network, from Basildon to Bury St Edmunds and Clacton to Clare as well as many places in between.  This is the best value ticket for really long distance travel, and is best used if you are travelling across our Chambers network from Colchester into Suffolk, visiting places such as Sudbury and Bury St Edmunds

Clacton Rocks 

The Clacton Rocks zone serves the surrounding areas of Clacton, such as Jaywick, Jaywick, St Osyth, Point Clear, Bockings Elm, Great Clacton, Little Clacton, and Holland on Sea, making it the ideal ticket for local travel, as tickets can be used unlimited times in the same time period, as long as you stay in the area.

Frinton Faresaver 

The Frinton Faresaver can save you money on short distance travel between Walton on the Naze, Frinton on Sea, and Kirby Cross. Suitable for use on the 97 and 98 routes.

Seasiders

For trips to the beach and coastal towns, the Seasiders ticket allows you to travel around without limits, and you can even hop on and off the bus when you like!

Used on an unlimited basis for the time the ticket is active, and is great for longer distance travel, such as between Clacton, Walton, Tollesbury or Halstead to Colchester, as well as journeys further afield in Essex.  Even though it says Seasider, it can be used to get to many places that aren’t by the coast.

Sudbury Town Zone 

The Sudbury Town Zone Tickets are valid within Sudbury, Long Melford, and Great Cornard. Ideal ticket if you are making a short journey in and around the Sudbury area for school or weekly shops.

Walton and Clacton 

Our Walton & Clacton ticket is similar to  our Clacton Rocks Zone, but allows further travel on routes 9,97,98 to Walton on the Naze and Frinton on Sea, allowing for a local area

Colchester Borough Card

For travel to and from Colchester, the Colchester Borough Card can be purchased for both the inner and outer zone of the city.

Essex Saver 

The Essex and Sunday Saver tickets were created by Essex County Council to allow unlimited same day travel for those who need to take different buses with different operators to get to where they need to go.  As long as your journey starts in the county of Essex, this ticket will suit.. For Sunday travel there is also an Essex Sunday Saver ticket. Add link again
